It's Saturday! I'm so proud of myself for making two posts in one week! Well the glucose test is out of the way. I'm very excited to be done with all that, and hopefully my results come back perfect! I have a check up on Thursday this week. Curious to see how much weight I've gained, and maybe they will be able to tell how big the baby is this time. That would be pretty cool. My pampers App says she is about 3 lbs and 11 inches from head to hinny :)
We are going back for our second 4-D this coming Friday. Hopefully the tech will get some better shots. I think we also get a video as well this time. That way we can show grandparents and friends.
Had a pretty great week aside from the glucose fiasco. I got to go to the chiropractor again which helped with my sciatic. Felt much better after seeing him, I have another appointment next month. Work was busy, a client got us a few gifts, and a co-worker got me the cutest little John Deere outfit. For valentine's day nick picked out a ton of cute stuff for our little girl. He has very good taste! Even bought her a tutu :) We are going to head up to Pottery Barn Kids this afternoon (after the Badger game of course). The blackout curtains we like are on sale, I love that store.
This week coming up should be busy. Nick is away for work Sunday afternoon till Tuesday night. Monday we have a dude coming to clean up a plumbing issue and finish up a few more things we need done. We finally were able to fix the screen enclosure last week. It looks great, and its so nice to have a bug free patio. All that's left is our dry wall repairs from a leak, and then we'll be ready for baby shower visitors :) I might have to skip my exercise class this week, because Winston can't be alone from 8-8. But we'll see, maybe I'll do my own workout here instead.
I went dress shopping today and might have found a winner. Clothes shopping with a belly is so fun! I might go again tomorrow and get something for my work shower too. A lot of people lately have asked if I feel "uncomfortable" or "huge", most days I just feel happy and excited and the proud owner of a cute belly lol. With about 68 days left, the most common thought in my head is usually "I can't believe we are going to have a baby girl so soon!!".
Ok what a game!! Badgers just blew up the Buckeyes!! Wooohooo! Off to run errands with the hubby :)

"Hey Vanesser, your face is looking a little plump".
Is it just old people in general, or strictly old New Yorker woman?? I love how my clients just say whatever they think with no regard as to how it might come out of their mouths lol. If anything it's good entertainment. For the record my face does NOT look plump... I'll cut Arlene Goldstein.
What........... an annoying mess this Glucose situation has become. I will address this briefly so I don't get all fired up again before bed. Apparently Quest Diagnostics wants to make my life hell. The woman who handled my misery last wednesday wasn't trained on how to administer the test properly and now I have to sit through ANOTHER 3 HOURS!! When questioning the nurse if this was really necessary considering i have no signs or symptoms of gestational diabetes, she replied ::long pause:: "YES!". Needless to say I will be back in that office Friday.
Next Topic. Nat Tat really enjoys sitting directly on my sciatic nerve. This causes some pain, and the unwarned loss of leg function while walking. But other than leg cramps, heartburn, and the inability to remove my self from the couch alone, we are doing just dandy! I really do feel pretty good, I didn't notice to many changes when I entered the 3rd tri a few weeks ago. It's very exciting that I'm at the 30 week mark this week. It's starting to creep up on us :)
I feel lately that my blogs have been a bit more of a bitch session then they used to be... not that this will change much the rest of my pregnancy, i just wanted it noted that I'm aware.
There is some serious acrobatics going on in my belly. It's unbelievable!! She is so active, I absolutely love every minute of it. We went to the 4-D ultrasound last friday and technology really is mind blowing!! I can't describe how cool it was to see her that clearly. The tech said the placenta was in the way the whole time, so I cant imagine what a clear shot looks like. We did get a few really neat pics, and yes she is still a girl lol. They are having us come back on the 18th to see if they can get a better view. It was pretty amazing :)
Both baby showers are approaching, I can't wait!! So excited for all the out of town guests we will be getting, absolutely can't wait to see everyone. I went to the prenatal workout class again this week. I really like going. It's not as hardcore of a workout as I was used to pre-pregnancy, but it's a lot of stretching, some weights, and squats. All very important for the adventure of delivering a child. I'm definitely still the youngest one in class by a long shot, so it makes me a little quieter than usual. Many of them are there strictly for the social chit chat, but most of them are stay at home moms who rightfully crave grown up interaction. Of the 8 girls in class 7 of them are already signed up for epidurals (I'm the 8th). Then they read me statistics stating that only 6-10% of women opt to have NO pain meds, and 67% of women choose to get an epidural... this is making me want to vomit. I'm hoping to get some more encouragement in the birthing classes next month.
We have also been receiving all kinds of fun registry gifts in the mail the last week! It's like Christmas everyday!! The nursery is filling up rapidly, so awesome!! It's bed time, I'll try to update again this week. As we count down these last 10 weeks I want to be sure I'm updating as much as possible :)

11 weeks to go!
So I'm sitting in my private room at quest diagnostics lol. Awaiting my second blood draw of this 3 hour glucose test. Very riveting stuff. I'm slightly woozy, hungry, and really thirsty...fun times. Watching a baby story on TLC with some crazy woman who is delivering in a blow pool in her living room. Did I mention her three other children are watching? Ages 10, 8, and 6. Why. Where do I find the remote in this place?
Definitely feeling much better, coughing has simmered down, and I am able to sleep at night. My cousin Lindsay had her baby last Friday. Very exciting, she is so cute. All these girls having babies around me makes me even more anxious :)
Nick and I went to babies r us Sunday and hopefully finished up our registry. We picked out a few cute things for the nursery as well. I spent lots of time sitting in the rocking chairs at the back of the store. When I walk around a lot sometimes I tend to get cramps. So the chairs were my favorite part of the Store.
Tuesday I went to a prenatal workout class with one of my moms best friends Barb. She was my baton teacher when I was 6 and now she is my prenatal workout teacher. Pretty awesome :) It was fun, lots of stretching. Didn't really break much of a sweat, but we did lots of squats, my legs are a bit tight today. I signed up for 8 more classes, the only day i can go with my work schedule is Tuesdays, so hopefully I have 8 more Tuesday's left lol. I'm going to try and do my old workout tomorrow. Just for fun! I might have to modify some of it, and move a lot slower, but I really miss excersizing. I miss sweating, I miss my bike, it's lonely and dusty in the garage. But I love love my belly! It's my favorite, and makes up for everything else :)
I'm very excited for Fridays 4d ultrasound. I'll be sure to post the photos right away. I cant wait to see her, it's going to be awesome! We have been getting baby stuff in the mail this week, it's so fun. Her closest is going to be full before the shower lol.
Hopefully this test comes back perfect. Keeping my fingers crossed :)

BANG BANG!
I missed a week! My third trimester really started off with a BANG....BANG! The first bang started Last week Tuesday when I did the glucose test. It wasn't bad at all, only had to sit for an hour and the drink wasn't gross. However, they called me on Friday and told me my numbers came back high. Yes, I have ice cream every night, but other than that I eat a healthy very well balanced diet. I'm pretty pissed. Now I have to go take another test this week. This time it's a 3-hour test and they take your blood every 30 minutes. Not excited. I'm going this Friday because they had nothing available any sooner. Everyone keeps telling me there no way I'm diabetic, not they way I eat. But who knows, we will find out soon enough.
The second bang is a doozy. I had a slight sore throat most of last week, and was hoping to just fight it with OJ and vitamin C. Unfortunately I was unsuccessful. After not sleeping from coughing and a wicked sore throat all weekend, I took my happy ass to med express Monday. I called the OB first and they ask me to get tested for strep just incase. No strep thank goodness, just sinusitis. Even though the OB advised it, I’m still reluctantly taking a Z-pack. Hopefully that will kick this cold out of me. Being sick and pregnant is no fun at all. I think I pulled an ab muscle coughing my lungs out. And don’t get me started with all the other joys that come along with a cough. Boys read this…so ill skip it. Nick is a good nurse, he keeps encouraging me to focus on how blessed we are to be having a little bundle in a few months. My mom also has been on it with soup deliveries and help with work. I’m a very lucky girl J
On a fun note, I have another check-up Thursday. I'm excited to see how my weight gain has progressed, and I think I get to schedule my 4D ultrasound appt. So exciting!! I think I might also be getting the blood type shot. Stoked to get that out of the way as well. I registered with the hospital last week as well. When i called to sign nick and I up for birthing classes they had me register first. Very exciting, we got to pick 3 classes from a list and I signed Nick up for "daddy boot camp" hehehe!! Thursday is my 28th week mark...woah! I'm really getting there! Our peanut is so active, she moves so much, and it’s my favorite thing. The best is when Nick is there to feel or see it too J
We officially have baby furniture in the nursery! Nick built the crib and the dresser last week. He walks in there each day and shakes the crib to make sure its sturdy. He is so cute :) The dresser didn't come with directions, so that was challenging, but still came out perfect.
I not feeling my best so I apologize for the boring post lol. I want to do another update after all my appointments this week. Hopefully with good news and more fun stuff to discuss :)

Let the projects begin :)
26 weeks already!! I can't believe how fast it is going. I also can't believe how my brain chooses not to work anymore. At work I've been screwing up since week 9, but this week was a whole new oops. I managed to screwed up all my doctors appointments lol. I went to my glucose tolerance test a week early and forgot to fast. Then had my check up appointment in my calendar on the wrong day. Wooohoo pregnancy brain really does exist!! So now my glucose test is next tuesday and my next checkup (when i will receive the blood type shot) is the 25th.
No more ultrasounds until the 4D one which I'm planning on doing mama peggy and Jo are in town. They said it's usually done between 28-30 weeks but I'm going to push it to 32 weeks so we can have a nice big crowd in the room for the show :)
On a not so fun note I seemed to have developed a stretch mark. arg. I thought i was doing a good job bathing in juice (lotion) every single day since I peed on the stick, but i guess not good enough. Hopefully not to many more to come, I'm not a fan. I'm also up to 3 pees in the middle of the night now. I'm sure next month I'll just sleep on the toilet to avoid the walk to the bathroom.
Nick did an AMAZING job building Nat Tat's closet!! It looks awesome!! So organized. I'm such a proud wifey. And the dresser came in today as well. SO we (meaning nick) are finally starting to make progress in the nursery. We decided not to paint. At first I wanted to do light green, but the walls are a nice neutral color now and I think they should stay that way. Artists Aunt Jo will be painting something and we have some ideas already for decorating so I'm sure there will be plenty of color.
Nick building the shelving (yes the leg lamp is still rocking in the window from Christmas).
The finished product

Baby Tatge....or Mia Hamm??
What....a crazy week! We had company in town, so good to see my bff 1 & 2. I miss having my closest friends around! New years Eve was another sober-rific shindig for me...we played games, ate delicious food, and caught up on life. Everyone (else) got good and drunk lol. Good times for sure. Remember those few friends you might have had in college that didn't ever drink and would end up babysitting everyone on the wknds?? Well I remember them, and luckily for me this is only a nine month session of their entire college career. I feel like I instantly turn into a mom the minute the third shot of whiskey is consumed. But at least we are all old enough to take care of ourselves at this point...kinda lol. ENTERTAINMENT!
I still have wicked amounts of heartburn. I should take out stock in TUMS & Horizons milk. I've also developed some back pain, well more like shooting pains. Getting up out of a chair is a much slower process than normal. I'm hitting up the chiropractor tomorrow. But this last week I have been distracted from the burn and the back by all the kicking going on in my belly. Tiff even got to feel here kick after eating boneless buffalo wings in duffy's Sunday. Monday while sitting on the couch with Jo we could actually see the kicks happen!! It was crazy awesome. I keep trying to show Nick but each time he is watching the little monkey stops moving. It's amazing I've started to get used to her schedule. Certain parts of the day she is so active and others not at all. There is no doubt she will be tearing up the pitch in a few years. She already has a pink soccer ball, courtesy of her daddy. So incredible there is a little person hanging out in my belly!!!
Mom, Jo and I did a little baby shower planning as well the last few days. Super exciting...I now dream in pink!! So much pink...good god lol. So far this ex tomboy is adjusting pretty well to all the girly-ness going on in the nursery closet :) I'm excited about getting the nursery decorated. Nick said he is going to work on the closet this weekend, and he ordered the dresser this week too! He is such a big help! We had to do some registry updating as well, some people from work have been asking where I'm registered already. I love my clients (most days)!! If anyone has gotten any great registry advice, please help. It's overwhelming.
Lindsay (other pregnant girl) at work is going to be induced tmrw, I think I'm nervous for her. She has decided she is definitely having an epidural. I'm still frightened by that term. She is having a girl too, so excited for her. Can't wait to meet her little London. It will be fun to have girls together so close in age.
I have a wardrobe update.... Jo and wally accompanied me to the mall on monday night and I finally gave in and went to pea in a pod. So damn overpriced, but I found a pair of "V" jeans. Skinny leg, funky color, perfect with old man shoes. I'm thrilled. They are really comfortable and compared to the other 7 pairs I tried on, they were on the cheaper end. Then we went in my most hated store....forever 21. It was torture, but in the end, a great success. Got 5 shirts, size medium, so they are loose and comfy...for now. It's nice to have a few more options. I'm sure everyone at work was tired of looking at me in the same pants and same 4 shirts rotated all week. Oh by the way, Macy's clearance section for babies is ridiculously awesome. I couldn't believe how many items rang up for $3.58. SUPER!
Today I had another fake pizza craving. Drove way out of my way (in a hurricane-like down pour) to find a pizza hut before work...it was worth it.
Bed is calling, I'm pretty exhausted this week. I'm sure it was the fun packed few weeks of holidays, work, and visitors we had...also worth it :)
I'm due to post a belly pic, I know, I'll get on this wknd!
