Feeling Glowy :)

It's lovely to hear all the nice compliments from clients lately. Everyone has something nice to say about how I'm glowing, or that I'm carrying beautifully! I'm starting to wonder if I really just look like a hot mess and they are trying to be nice lol. But honestly it's awesome to hear them being so sweet.

I had the most wonderful baby shower part II. The family got in a little late so I was exhausted but loved every minute of it. We also had AMAZINGLY perfect weather for all of them!! I did manage to have severe pregnancy brain and forgot to bring both the pasta salads I made to my moms saturday morning. Holy almost disaster! But Nick saw and luckily a few of my friends were able to save the day and drive them down. Other than that it was a glitch free day. Everything looked absolutely beautiful. My mom did an awesome job (as usual)! The decorations were great, and Jo did a good job picking a few non-annoying baby shower games. We got completely spoiled! I've never seen so many gifts in my life. It was more than I ever expected, we are so grateful to have such wonderful friends and family in our life! I have no idea where we are going to put anything lol. The pool table downstairs is covered in pink and the garage officially has a "baby area". I'm really starting to get excited with only 7 weeks to go here. Slightly uncomfortable but I'm afraid to complain yet.

We went to the beach over the wknd with the whole crew. It was picture perfect, everyone got nice and burnt lol. Including me and my belly, Natalie got her first sunburn! I only went without sunscreen for about 30 minutes, but it has been a while, i was pretty clear. More of a reason to juice myself up excessively. The stretch mark battle is still going pretty well. Only 4, and none on the belly itself yet.
Overall we had a fantastic weekend with everyone, I was so glad to have family here. And so lucky so many good friends traveled to see us as well. It was a great success, and I can't wait for everyone to meet our little girl! She is so blessed already :)

Wednesday I ventured into babies r us with my mom to make a few returns and left with a cart full lol. I don't know how that happened but it was fun. We still have a few more things to pick up here and there but we really got a lot of good gifts. I need a rocker, they are way over priced and there are so many to choice from. If anyone has a recommendation let me know. I don't have the space (or budget) for one of those lazy boy chair looking ones. Just need something basic and comfy.

Went back to the specialist yesterday, showed him my numbers, he laughed and told me not to worry about checking my sugar anymore. I'm so relieved!! He said just watch my sweets and don't overload on carbs. I'm a happy girl. He also did an ultrasound and took all her measurements to make sure we aren't having a beast child (do to the gestational diabetes). "She is perfect, 4lbs 12oz" he said. Woohooo :)

I had a breast feeding class as well last night. It was really informative, although the video from 1987 could probably use an update. The 80's hair was prevalent throughout the 30 minutes of bare boob and latch technique footage. Aside from the video, the teacher was awesome, really nice, and full of advice. I learned a lot more than I expected too. Great success :)

I'm working this weekend so probably wont get too much baby stuff organized. My hubby should be local a little more this month so that will be a big help. Alright off to work!!
